Cycling tours around the Innviertel region
Varied terrains and an array of different tours: hop on your bike and make your way across the diverse Innviertel region on two wheels. Whether you opt for a slow-paced tour across the region’s flat terrains or push yourself to your limits to overcome those Alpine summits, the choice is yours. The landscape is diverse, so you have plenty of options.
There are also a number of cultural tourist attractions along the way, making for great pit stops and detours. Don’t forget to plan in enough time to enjoy some local Innviertel hospitality and sample some infamous regional delicacies!
66 km day tour: Geinberg is the starting point for s’Innviertel’s one-day cycling tour. It follows the R3 Innradweg cycling trail to Obernberg am Inn. Top tip: don’t forget your binoculars!
Roman Cycle Trail
242 km: take a trip back to the Roman Empire, on your bike! Passau–Innviertel–Attersee lake–Wels–Enns–Danube: saddle up and travel back in time through several regions of Bavaria and Upper Austria.
Inn Cycle Path
500 km: this path in the Innviertel region rewards cyclists with stunning views of the river landscape. The cycle path starts at the source of the Inn river on the Maloja Pass in the Engadin valley of the Swiss Alps. It then heads to Upper Austria via Bavaria and continues to Passau, where the Inn river meets the Danube.
Antiesen Bike Path
42 km: the Antiesen Bike Path is perfect for pedalling through the Innviertel region. A change of scenery guaranteed! This route takes in Reichersberg, Minaberg, Geboltskirchen, Erlet and Trattnach.
Mountain bike trails
30 km: experience the amazing mountain bike trails in Maria Schmolln first hand! The three signposted routes wind through forest paths, paved and gravel streets and hilly terrain.
